This class introduces you to Java and J2EE as a programming language for building dynamic web sites. MySQL and Oracle are used for the persistant data storage component, Tomcat and JBoss as the containers/servers, and JavaScript and AJAX as the client activation tool. This class is OS agnostic. You can use any OS you choose. You will learn how to write applications that work from within a browser, are scalable, easy to create, easy to maintain, and easy to secure. Each assignment in the class is presented as a life like case.

In-class time consists of exploring and discussing these cases as well as designing, testing, and implementing solutions to them rather than you being lectured.

As you complete and understand each case, you are preparing yourself for the next case as well as to be ready to use these same ideas and capabilities in the work place.

If you want to learn how to create enterprise scalable web applications, join the class and let’s have some fun.

When you visit with a CIT professor you will see how your degree, minor, or cluster in CIT will help you do what you want to do.
